A shadow approached me, the clouds unfolded
Her silky gown swayed in the breeze
Long, golden hair draped softely off her shoulders
Sky-blue eyes met mine so intense
A star crashed into the ocean...
I saw the ebb and the flow of the tide
Her tiny hand reached out for me
And led me to the water's edge
The moon glistened off the seasells
The crickets hummed a tune
The dance began
No words were spoken
The emotions flowed like fine champagne
A true bond found its niche
It was a moment created in Heaven...
Caressing my shoulder, our lips intertwined
The smoothness of her features were of ivory style
She moved like the wind
Her skin sparkled in the moonlight
Hours passed in minutes
And when the night subsided
The dance had ended
She touched my soul with a final embrace
Still not a word had left her voluptuous lips
Then a fright came about me
One that I shall never feel again
I could tell she wished to stay
But it was not her choice
As they called her home
Walking away she turned and smiled
Angels belong in Heaven, you know
There was a tear that might have fallen
But it never did
Like a thief in the night
She stole my heart
She took me where I'd never been
Though it has been twenty years
I can still feel her presence inside of me
Some nights I return to that same special place
And watch for that falling star
I wonder where she is and if she can see me
I let my dreams carry me back
To the moment when I held an angel
I will never forget the night we danced
